Terms of Service
Last reviewed: 15/07/2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of GlassPound. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. GlassPound is operated by David Graves (company registration pending) — registered address: [TODO: founder to fill in]. Contact: personalfinanceidea@gmail.com. See also our Privacy Policy, which covers how we handle your data.
What GlassPound is
GlassPound is a hosted, multi-user personal finance web app. It lets you record income, build a zero-based spending plan, log transactions, and generates a personalised plan — a goal and an ordered sequence of tasks — to help you manage your money. GlassPound is not a bank, is not a payment institution, and does not hold, move, or have access to your money. It never asks for your bank credentials.
Not regulated financial advice
GlassPound is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and nothing in the service is regulated financial advice. Any suggestions the plan engine makes are limited to account types and their order — for example, “workplace pension match, then an ISA” — and will never:
- name a specific product, fund, share, or provider;
- project a return (e.g. “you'll have £X by...”);
- handle your money or ask for your credentials.
Where a decision is complex or advice-shaped (for example, pension transfers or tax planning), the service will point you to a regulated financial adviser rather than answer it. You are responsible for your own financial decisions, and should seek regulated advice before acting on anything complex.
Your account
There is no password — you sign in with an emailed magic link or, optionally, Google. You must provide an accurate email address and keep access to it secure; you're responsible for activity that happens under your account. GlassPound is intended for individuals managing their own finances, not businesses or third parties' finances.
Acceptable use
When using GlassPound you agree not to:
- use the service for any unlawful purpose, or to enter data you don't have the right to;
- attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its data;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service, except where the law gives you the right to do so despite this restriction;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time, without needing to give a reason, from your account page. Deletion is immediate and permanent — it removes your income, spending plan, transactions, goals and tasks, and cannot be undone; see our Privacy Policy for how that's implemented. We may also suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, giving notice where reasonably possible.
Service availability, warranty and liability
GlassPound is currently a free product with no paid tier. It is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available, and features may change or be discontinued.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GlassPound and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service, including financial decisions you make based on it. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be excluded or limited (for example, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms or the service itself as GlassPound develops. We'll update the “Last reviewed” date above when we do. Continuing to use GlassPound after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
